Antigua

Where would you rather be in the middle of a British winter - in the UK or on a beach like this on the delicious Caribbean island of Antigua?

Sea cascading off rocksThe tourist slogan for Antigua is "the land of sea and sun", but it is not just a bland tropical paradise: it has wild Atlantic waters as well as idyllic Caribbean beaches (reputedly 365 of them).

It doesn't take a lot of imagination to see why we have called this retreat-holiday "The Lord of sea and sky"!

We are excited to have discovered a wonderful Antiguan retreat centre called Mount Tabor, which is enabling us to offer reasonably priced packages in what would otherwise be a very expensive destination.

Bananas at Mt Tabor

Maximum temperatures in Antigua between December and April average 27° or 28°C, dropping to 23° or 24° at night. That is 81°-83° F, dropping to 73°-75°F at night. The official hurricane season is June - November, so we avoid going to Antigua then, just in case. The bananas in the photo were ripening in February in the grounds of Mount Tabor.

If you would like a retreat-holiday or an individually guided retreat which is different and exotic, this is it!
