Footprints, Memories & Photographs
A creative writing retreat

Retreat-leader:
Chris Leonard
writing tutor and author of 16 books
So what is a creative writing retreat?
On this retreat-holiday with a difference, Chris Leonard will lead themed writing inspiration and workshop sessions for a couple of hours most days – and later there will be a chance to hear some of the freshly-penned writing.
Don’t worry though: this is very much a holiday for re-creation rather than a “how to write” course. It’s suitable for both complete beginners and more experienced writers seeking a safe place to play and experiment with words. With 16 books published, Chris has led many writing holidays – you can find out more about her on her website:

“I enjoy watching guests blossom and grow on these holidays,” she says. “People get to know each other at a deep level, often forming lasting friendships. We always laugh a lot. And God does all kinds of unexpected things – far more than we could ever ask or think.”
Chris's green-tinged themes of "Footprints, Memories and Photographs" resonate with the local area and apply to many other aspects of life too. She uses a mixture of quotes, visuals and music along with a broad choice of writing suggestions – which you are free to ignore or use so long as you write at least one sentence which you read to a small, supportive group the same day.
We’ll have space to write, walk, rest, chat and pray… To further inspire you, we’re including excursions on three days – to the medieval town of Dinan, to Dinard with its market and to St Malo with its varied and fascinating history. There will be a chance to attend church on Sunday and also, for those who wish, the opportunity to share in some of the daily worship in the house chapel.
