Dates
18-25 June 2010
Prices
By air: £699 full board
NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENT
By ferry:
It is also possible to travel by ferry from Portsmouth to Saint-Malo. There is now no supplement for this, as there are no cabins left for the outbound, overnight crossing - you just get an airline-type reclining seat.
What is included:
Flights or ferry crossings and taxes;
transfers between airport and Maison Saint-François;
full board in twin or single en suite room for seven nights;
wine and mineral water at table; local excursions;
the services of the retreat-leader.

What is not included:
Travel between home and UK airport; personal expenses; fuel surcharges; any increase in Air Passenger Duty after 17 July 2009; telephone; taxis; gratuities for those working in the house and minibus drivers (we suggest 40 euros per person for the week); insurance. Valid insurance is obligatory. Pilgrim Travel can offer insurance cover, subject to conditions.
The norm in retreat-houses is that cleaners do not intrude into your room during your stay.

Stansted or East Midlands to Dinard.
Ask us about connections from Dublin.
Ferry :
Portsmouth to Saint-Malo
Diets
The Community take it in turns to cook. They will make an effort for people
on special diets for medical reasons (tell us in advance!) but they are not confident about catering for strict diets, like coeliac or nut allergy.
The attitude to vegetarianism is one often found in France: “Well, they can eat the vegetables”! Frankly, vegetarians would eat better
on a different retreat-holiday.
Accessibility
We regret that we cannot take responsibility for looking after people who know before they come that they have serious problems of health or mobility.
In the Maison Saint-François, there is a lift to
all floors except the top one - let us know in advance if you have trouble with stairs.
The coastal walk, which is central to the theme On
the edge, is unfenced for much of its length, so those parts of it are not suitable for people who are unsteady on their feet. Access to the path from the house is down a fairly steep path, but there are also level walks to viewpoints near the house.
Access to the jetty from which boats leave for St Malo is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, but it would be possible to go to St Malo by taxi.
In both Saint-Malo and Dinan there is a “little train” (pictured) going through the streets to take tourists on a circuit of the sights, so you can see a fair amount without too much walking.
All arrangements are subject to change.
