For our two nights in Jerusalem, we shall be staying at the Christmas Hotel, a 4* hotel which is very well located, just 12 minutes' walk from the Old City. It is a lovely, family-run place and, very unusually for Jerusalem, has a garden - perfect for some quiet time after the bustle of the city.

The Galilee: the Ron Beach Hotel ****
When people have stayed at the Ron Beach Hotel once, they invariably want to stay there again on any subsequent visit to the Sea of Galilee.
So what is special about it? First of all, its location on the shore of the lake.
As the name implies, the Ron Beach has its own little bathing beach.
