The Hotel Teuchelwald is a Christian hotel. It is owned by the Methodist Church - but it isn't dry! It offers splendid views over the town of Freudenstadt, in the heart of the Black Forest:
The slogan of the Hotel is Besser mit Herz - literally, Better with heart. When you experience the friendliness and kindness of the staff, you know what they mean! The staff at Reception are extremely helpful - for example, they will be putting a kettle in each of our rooms because they know that that is something the British appreciate.
The hotel bedrooms have all been recently refurbished to a high standard.
There is a comfortable lounge and free access to the internet via a hotel terminal.
The dining room is attractively laid out, with flowers and candles on the tables.
The food is very good, served buffet-style, with even the simplest dishes beautifully presented:
Guests staying at the Hotel Teuchelwald have free use of the indoor, heated swimnming pool and the fitness room at the Klinik Hohenfreudenstadt, which shares its grounds. The Klinik also offers a wide range of treatments (massage etc.) which are charged extra.
