Flights
Choice of Stansted, Liverpool or Dublin to Rome-Ciampino.
These are early-morning flights, which all arrive at Ciampino at about the same time. A midday departure from Stansted is available at a supplement of £70 to cover the separate airport transfer costs.
Please remember to specify on your booking form which departure airport you would prefer.

What is included:
Flights and taxes; transfers between airport and the Villa Palazzola; full board (packed lunch for longer excursions); en suite room with no supplement for single occupancy; wine at lunch and dinner; excursions and the services of the retreat-leader; excursions to the Via Sacra, Rome (transport between Palazzola and the city centre only), the Castelli Romani and the Villa d'Este and Tivoli Water gardens (including admission).
What is not included:
Travel in the UK, any personal expenditure on taxis, telephone calls etc.; drinks other than wine and water at table; admissions in Rome (eg approx £19 unguided or £31 guided visit to Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel). Excursion to the catacombs (£20 for transport and admission, subject to a minimum of five booking).

Gratuities
Tipping is a personal thing, but it is the norm in Italy and is much appreciated by the domestic staff of the house and by our drivers. How much you give is up to you, but we suggest €40 per participant.
Accessibility
The Villa is extensive and has a lot of stairs. There is no lift in the New Wing, which houses all the en suite rooms. If you need a ground-floor room, please say so when you book and we shall do our best, though we cannot guarantee it. Even the "ground floor" rooms involve some steps.
We regret that we are unable to accept the responsibility of looking after people who know before they travel that they have serious problems of health or mobility.
