Retreat-Holidays
Make retreats a treat and holidays holy
losOlivos
losOlivos is a dream come true. Two extraordinary men had a vision of creating a Christian centre for the arts and spirituality in Southern Spain. One, Revd Dani Muñoz, is a Spanish Anglican priest and the other, Guy Wynter, an Englishman who brings business manage- ment skills to the project . They found a derelict building up in the mountains, at an altitude of 1100 metres and 20 minutes' drive along a ... challenging mountain track. They set to and have built the most wonderful hacienda (farmhouse). It opened in February 2011.
The cypress outside the house is a traditional sign of hospitality.
The internal courtyard is dominated by a specially commissioned sculpture of the Spanish mystic St John of the Cross:

In the summer, most meals are taken out of doors, but there is an indoor dining room with a bar:

There is also a sitting room, with books available to borrow:

There are indoor and outdoor chapels:

The house has just nine guest bedrooms, which gives an intimacy to the place. The bedrooms are all different, but they are, of course, en suite and the beds are extremely comfortable. One of the delights of losOlivos is that a siesta is built into the daily timetable!

losOlivos is an Eco Centre recognised by the EU as a sustainable tourism destination.
The food is Spanish: superb and copious. The tap water comes from a local spring and is bottled for sale further down the hill, so there is no need to buy mineral water.
Wifi is available free in the public areas of the house.
Massage is available on request, as is a laundry service (both charged extra).
The place is just waiting for you!
