Poland: The Apostleship of the Sea
Recreation Centre
Our base in Poland is the Apostleship of the Sea Centre in Kashubia, the "land of a thousand lakes". The house was purpose-built as a holiday and recreation centre in 2003 and is very comfortable indeed. It is 300 metres from a lake and on the edge of a forest and a village.
The Director of the house is Fr Edward Pracz, who is a Redemptorist father and the European Co-ordinator of the Apostleship of the Sea (the Roman Catholic equivalent of the Mission to Seamen).
The house and grounds exude a sense of peace and there is a lovely chapel in the attic.
The bedrooms are comfortable, attractive and en suite; they have two or three beds and are available for single occupancy. There is NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENT.
The food is extraordinarily good and copious and there is a common room with an honesty bar, where free tea and coffee are available all day.
