Provisional Programme
The programme will have two strands:
- trees and plants as symbols of human life and what it means to be part of Christ the vine
- seeing more clearly, taking the longer view - aided by the symbolism of all those stunning hilltop viewpoints
We are planning the following excursions:
“Come away to some lonely place…”
Hilltop villages: Reillanne, Montjustin and Montfuron
Sisteron, with its impressive citadel, wealth of historical buildings, shops, restaurants and waterside picnic area
On the day our theme is “Christ the vine”, we visit a winery, with a guided tour of the cave and a tasting of some of the wine made there - bring your lunch to picnic in the vineyard.
Forcalquier on market day, travelling there and back by horse and cart
There will be an opportunity to attend a Catholic Mass on the Saturday evening and we shall have an informal act of worship at the hotel on the Sunday.
