The route
The brief given to the captain, who has ultimate say over the route, is that we want to go to quiet, beautiful places where we can be aware of God's creation.
The intention is to embark at Hisarönü, which is about two hours from Dalaman airport.
We shall be sailing along the Datça and Bozbürün peninsulas and hope to visit the ancient site of Knidos, but that is dependent on the weather - as St Paul found when sailing in these waters on his way to Rome (see Acts 27). We shall disembark either at Hisarönü or at Bozbürün (pictured).
The holiday

This is probably the most relaxing of all our holidays - you don't have to do anything or go anywhere to see the scenery unfold before you.

The swimming and the snorkelling are just wonderful and you can try out the kayak if you wish.

The retreat
The retreat will respond to our surroundings with ideas for prayer which are based on the Bible themes of creation, water and boats. There will a brief session of input each morning and then in the evening another
short time of prayer and
looking back over the day.
One of the forms of prayer suggested will be to go and lie on a sun-bed
after dark and look up at the stars, "the work of his hands". Hardly onerous, is it?
