Retreat-Holidays
Retreat-Holidays was born out of the conviction - and the experience - that we can become aware of God's presence when we put ourselves in listening mode. However, in our everyday lives, we are often too busy to stand still sufficiently to be receptive. Jesus himself recognised the problem, saying to his disciples, "Come away with me by yourselves and rest awhile" (Mark 6:31). Retreat-Holidays offers just that opportunity to go away with the Lord and rest awhile - and to be open to whatever may come out of it.
Retreat-Holidays takes small groups of adults to beautiful, peaceful places where the surroundings speak of the God who created them. Each retreat-holiday has a theme, suggested by the location. The retreat leader gives a thought for the day each morning, with a handout offering Bible passages and other material. The excursions link with the theme of the day. In the evening, there is an opportunity to share reflections on the day and spend a little time praying together.
We are now primarily focused on running "bespoke" trips for groups from particular churches or Churches Together groups. In most cases, others are welcome to join these trips, in which case they are advertised on this website. We also still offer some "open" trips - again, details are on the website.
Individually guided retreats
We arrange individually guided retreats in Malta or Antigua at dates to suit you, subject to availability. There is also now the possibility of making an individually guided retreat at losOlivos in Spain, at specific dates in March 2013.
